Today’s playlist features Downtempo, Ambient, Soul, Acid Jazz, Bossa Nova and Brazil. I prefer to explore various artists to avoid repetitions from previous playlists. However, I’ll make an exception for Barney Hurley (Samuel Purdey / POWDER BLUE TUX).

It’s been some time since my last post. Today is the first holiday in Japan in two months, so we need some music, right? This playlist consists of Classic Soul, Funk, and relatively recent Pop and R&B songs. Personally, I particularly enjoy the selection from the 14th to the 16th songs.

Let’s wrap up 20 consecutive days of playlist posts! Today’s selection features Jazz, African, Persian, Contemporary and Ambient. Although this marks the end of my daily posts, I’d like to continue to post playlists from time to time in the future.

Today’s Disco and Funk playlist will fit weekend. There are many remixes and edits in Disco music. Among them, I love thoroughness mix such as 10th track in this playlist. It was remixed by John Morales (M&M).

Today’s playlist has various genres of music, Folk, Pops, Soul, House and Jazz. I work from home so I could listen to music anytime I want, however I usually don’t play music during work hours. The best time for me to listen to music is late at night.

The first half of today’s playlist is the 80s East Coast HipHop while the second half is Punk. I’ve selected at least one group from each of boroughs of New York City. The first six tracks features DJ and from 3 through 6 track titles include each group’s DJ’s names.

Today’s playlist has various types of songs from the ’80s to the ’20s, such as Disco, Soul, Funk, Jazz and R&B. I revisited this playlist for the first time in a few monthes to post. This reminded me that I had not yet listened to D’Angelo’s new album, which was quite unfortunate.

Today’s playlist is Modern Jazz. I made it just after Pharoah Sanders passed away. The piano performance of “You’ve Got to Have Freedom” is by John Hicks, whose two more plays were added to the playlist in a row. Great songs.

Today’s playlist features Japanese female singers and musicians from J-Pop (Japanese pops), Dance, Rock, Tango and Erik Satie’s songs. Subscription services sometimes write foreign artists’ names and song titles in katakana in Japan. But I personally prefer them to be written in their local languages.

Today’s playlist features Jazz, Brazilian, African, Salsa songs. Salsa is a relatively new genre for me to listening and collecting records. It’s fun catching on something new.

Today’s playlist; all tracks are Soul music. I selected the songs that I want to listen to at a hot summer night. The highest temperature in my town today reached 24.6 ℃. Summer is surely coming.

Today I picked up Punk playlist and listened to “The Number Song” after a few years. I was more impressed by the song than the last time. It’s truly amazing.

Today’s playlist features upbeat Pops, Disco and Electronic songs. This is one of my personal favorite playlists. I feel it has Vaporwave vibes.

A flavor change from the past playlists, today’s one contains Rock, Punk, Electro and HipHop songs. I’ve tried excluding “explicit” songs in my playlists. It’s NOT that I don’t enjoy these songs, but there are places where such content is not appropriate…

Today’s playlist is made up of Jazz standard covers and Folk songs. I’ve chosen my favorite songs in all of the playlists. Among them I particularly love “Body and Soul” by John Coltrane. I got to know this song at the age of 16. Personal feelings may be even more deeply connected to a song when people acquainted with it long ago.

I’ve been creating a music playlist once a month since Dec 2021. I’m going to make a note the playlists everyday for coming 20 days. Today’s playlist contains R&B and Pop songs released in the past five years. There is and will be no specific reason for the playlist’s titles.

My interest in sculpting started when creating an African-like mask with cardboard at Atelier IGANDA, an art school run by Mr. Mino Kei. This year he held three exhibitions for the first time in ten years. The first one was in June, the second in July and the third exhibition “Mino no Venus” was held in The Museum of Art, Ehime from October 2 to 13. As you can guess it’s a play on words from “Venus de Milo”.

I’ve redesigned this web site, changing little by little for the last few weeks. The main purpose for the modification is to create a gallery for my sculptures and illustrations. I looked around and found lots of nice libraries and options. However, my needs for this gallery is quite simple: bundle size as small as possible, easy to apply CSS and swipe/zoom.
